Volunteer to help make the 2026 Festival a success!
There are so many ways to get involved in the festival, both in the lead up and on festival day.
If you’re ready to join the team and have a whole lot of fun while supporting our young emerging writers submit your details and a member of our organising committee will be in touch.
What we’re looking for:
Our 60+ volunteers help with various tasks including set up to pack down, including ticketing, shadowing our presenters, directing traffic, hosting sessions and much more!
What we’ll need from you:
A commitment to be available on Festival day (Sunday 11th October) OR for setup the day before (Saturday 10th October) OR packdown on Sunday 11th October (after the festival) and/or Monday 12th for helping with final loose ends.
To volunteer during the festival (on Sunday 11 October) you’ll need a current Working with Children check (WWCC). These are free and simple to obtain at: https://www.vic.gov.au/working-with-children-check
