Golden Tickets are just $15 and designed for School Aged young writers (5 - 18y) - one Golden Ticket gives you entry plus unlocks up to 4 free workshop sessions that you can book once the Golden Ticket has been selected.

General Entry is $5 for Adults and Children under 5 are free.

Note: Songweaving Songwriting Workshop with Eliza Hull and Mo’Ju is a separately ticketed event on Festival Eve (Saturday 10th) and is not included in the Golden Ticket. For more information and bookings please visit here.

Ages for sessions are a guide, we trust our visitors to know their own (or their child’s) ability and are welcome to support those who need it. An adult supervisor is required on site with anyone under 15y (no drop offs).

Workshop Session Times: Workshops are organised by Session and Venue. Venue is the first digit, then Session. So session 1.1 = First session in Venue 1. Best to book with the program infront of you, as its much clearer. Sessions 1 + 2 are in the morning, Session 3+4 are afternoon.

Check before Checkout! Please check tix so there are no clashes.

Multiple kids? If you’re booking for two or three kids it might be fiddly, but please include the full name and age on each ticket at checkout so we know who is coming.

Missed out? Go on the wait list! We might announce additional workshops if there is demand. And don’t be deterred – there’s plenty of other free stuff on the day. Author talks, festival book shop, meet the author, drop in story telling, zine making and crafts. Newstead Arts Hub will be buzzing on 11 October! Check out the program for more details.

Adult Support: An adult is required on site with any child under 15. Parents also welcome to support any child who needs it.

Cancellations: If you change your mind or can’t come on the day please cancel your ticket asap so that someone else can enjoy the workshop. You can do this via the ‘Manage Order’ Humanitix link in your ticket email.

Event cancellations: We may need to cancel a workshop session at short notice. We’ll do our best to communicate this to you, and suggest a substitute workshop on the day. Bear with us if this happens!
