What a smorgasbord of choice we have! Over 20 sessions for school aged young writers to pre-book!
To get the most out of your booking:
Plan: Check out the Program and Festival Planner and plan ahead.
Book: A Golden Ticket ($15) is required for any young writer doing workshops, and includes festival entry. General Admission for Adults ($5) and Children under 5 (free). Best to purchase beforehand as this is a very popular event and workshops especially are likely to sell out.
Workshops: A Golden Ticket entitles the holder to up to 4 sessions. First book the Golden Ticket and press continue. That will open up the list of workshops to choose from.
Confused? Workshops are organised by Session and Venue. Venue is the first digit, then Session. So session 1.1 = First session in Venue 1. Best to book with the program infront of you, as its much clearer. Sessions 1 + 2 are in the morning, Session 3+4 are afternoon.
Check before Checkout! Please check tix so there are no clashes.
Multiple kids? If you’re booking for two or three kids it might be fiddly, but please include the full name and age on each ticket at checkout so we know who is coming.
Missed out? Go on the wait list! We might announce additional workshops if there is demand. And don’t be deterred – there’s plenty of other free stuff on the day. Author talks, festival book shop, meet the author, drop in story telling, zine making and crafts. Newstead Arts Hub will be buzzing on 11 October! Check out the program for more details.
Age limits are a guide, use your own judgment, we trust you.
Adult Support: Parents/carers must stay with kids under 15, but you’re also welcome to stay for any child who needs support.
Cancellations: If you change your mind or can’t come on the day please cancel your ticket asap so that someone else can enjoy the workshop. You can do this via the ‘Manage Order’ Humanitix link in your ticket email.
